Recently we checked in with TimberCreek Building & Design to find out what trends they’re seeing in home construction, and specifically about their work in the Viniterra community.  From the staunch demand for open first floor flow, to multi-generational needs, TimberCreek gives us the scoop on new home construction and tells us about their proudest moment.

You build homes in diverse neighborhoods throughout central Virginia.  What do you enjoy about building at Viniterra, specifically?

The villa-style looking homes, and the general area can’t be beat. Living on a winery is pretty awesome.

What are your most popular floor plans?  

The Berkley and The Claiborne.  The Berkley has such an open first floor, which is high on the “wants and needs” list for almost all our customers. The kitchen flows perfectly into the living room and flex area.  It fits so many different needs, and is great for families of all different ages. The Claiborne has that same open concept feel, but also features a first floor guest suite. A lot of our clients are looking for a guest space that is secluded from the rest of the house; a separate area for them to feel comfortable. Plus, with its location on the first floor, it’s ideal for guests for whom walking up and down stairs can be challenging.

Online reviews about TimberCreek say you make the home building process “easy” and “within budget.”  How do you accomplish making your clients feel this way?

Communication! We think communication is KEY to ensuring our homeowners are happy and making sure their building experience is a pleasant one.

How are you “different” from your competitors?

TimberCreek strives not only to deliver a high quality custom home, but also to furnish homeowners with the one-on-one time and attention they deserve. Clients work directly with us during the entire construction process.  They get to know our whole team and can call us at anytime. We are all one big family here!

What professional accomplishment are you most proud of and why?

Winning the People’s Choice award at the first two Homearama events we’ve participated in, which is a huge accomplishment for us.  We couldn’t be more proud.

What do you want people to think of when they hear the name of your company?

Honest, hardworking people who build quality homes.

When you’re not building, how do you like to spend your free time?

Spending time with our family and friends is very important to us.  If we aren’t building homes, you’ll find us with our loved ones.
