One of the best events held each year in New Kent County is the annual Taste of New Kent Wine Festival.   This year the event will be held, rain or shine, at the New Kent Winery at Viniterra on Saturday, May 7^th from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and is organized by the New Kent Chamber of Commerce.

The wineries featured this year include some of Virginia’s very finest including New Kent Winery, Saude Creek Vineyards, The Williamsburg Winery, James River Cellars, Byrd Cellars, Amrhein Wine Cellars, Gauthier Vineyards, Horton Vineyards and Ingleside Vineyards.   Guests will be ample to sample these fine wines and also take a taste from a wide variety of food vendors ranging from burgers, bbq and Asian fusion.

In addition, entertainment includes live music from the Kings of Swing, a local favorite that features some of the most versatile dance and show music.   If art is more your style, the ever popular chainsaw carving will be featured throughout the day and will include a silent auction of the three unique pieces created that day.
