Carl and Heidi Schmidt are about to become the newest neighbors in Viniterra as their custom home nears completion. Carl and Heidi look forward to bringing Buddy, their Brittany Spaniel, home to the wide open spaces of Viniterra where Buddy can chase – but hopefully not catch! – rabbits and squirrels.

The Schmidts are eager to complete their custom home, even bringing back Italian tiles from their summer vacation to incorporate into the kitchen backsplash. A summer trip to Sardinia, Palmarola, Capri, Pompeii and Naples provided a fun adventure as they counted down the final days of construction.

Their desire to enjoy a healthy lifestyle, complete with moments of “quiet, beauty, and serenity in an otherwise hectic world” led the Schmidts to the neighborhood. Heidi, a personal trainer, enjoys running and competes in marathons; while Carl, an attorney, pursues his hobby of photography when he’s not in the courtroom. “Viniterra gives you a chance to live as if you are on vacation all the time. You have wonderful neighbors living in custom homes in a safe, gated community,” said the couple.

The Schmidts say their favorite aspect of the community is its friendly neighbors and true sense of community. They got a feel for Viniterra while meeting with several builders and looking at the homes they were building. Ultimately, the Schmidts chose the builder who they thought would build the best quality home. “Viniterra makes it easy to select a builder because it only promotes the best ones.”

They also have experienced an easy rapport with the developer, who “listens to every resident’s request and tries to make all Viniterra residents happy. They are true professionals. It’s more than just business for them.”

When asked what they would tell someone who is considering moving to Viniterra, Carl and Heidi said, “Viniterra is the place where successful people get to enjoy the good things in life.”
