Another fun day at Viniterra… after playing 18 holes at The Club at Viniterra, walked over to New Kent Winery for a cold glass of wine.. the Vidal Blanc pairs well with the Wood Fire Pizza that was being cooked on site outside of the winery. Kicked back and enjoyed the live music.. golf, followed by pizza, wine and great music.. and I can walk home, doesn’t get any better.
Had a great time last Friday evening, the weather was amazing and the company even better. Started off playing 9 holes at The Club at Viniterra – thanks to Matt O’Grady, Head Golf Professional for a fun round of golf. The round of golf was followed by live music, food and good wine right next door to the course at New Kent Winery. The band was Wendy Pace and Nitro, a great rock band that kept everyone tapping there feet. Thanks to the staff at the Winery as well for keeping the wine glasses full. Can not wait for the next 9wineNdine on August 8th!
Thank you to David Lusk for coming out to take some great shots of the Community, Winery and Golf Course last week with use of his drone. Check out the Video on our Face Book Page: https://www.facebook.com/viniterra?ref=hl

Love that I am right next door to the New Kent Winery because even on a rainy day there is something fun to do! Steven Hall of Small Town Gossip kept us well entertained out on the porch while Kim Rayford of Popping Mealies kept our bellies happy – you have to try the Mac & Cheese wrap! Thank you to New Kent Winery for a fun afternoon.

What an amazing day we had for the Jimmy Barrett’s Blue Ball Open hosted by the Club at Viniterra and New Kent Winery yesterday. The theme for this year’s event was the “Best of Blue Ball”: therefore they had some of their best, funniest and most entertaining holes out on the course. Some of the tricked out holes included The Big Green Monster a large wall constructed around one of the greens, dessert storm hole where you had to tee off from the sand, meteorite hole, and much more. New Kent Winery had wine tasting out on the course and the outing was followed by an award ceremony at the winery. DeFazio’s catering donating their time and kept our tummies full with some delicious chili, cornbread and all the fixings. A great time was had by all for a great cause.. goal was to raise over $40,000 for the Fisher House! We cannot wait to find out the total amount raised. Thank you to everyone that came out for this truly unique event!
What a fun day.. I walked over to New Kent Winery to sit in on one of their cooking classes. I am more of a mac and cheese in the box type of cook but thought why not try and learn something new. So when I heard that we were going to learn how to make Ravioli’s I was excited and intimidated. Thankfully Chef Tammy Brawley with The Green Kitchen showed us a short-cut, check it out and watch the video on our Facebook page. The class was sold out and was a blast to attend. I found out that cooks of all skill levels would enjoy these classes.
Menu from class today included:
-Arugula Salad with Grilled Pears, Prosciutto and Goat Cheese “Croutons” with a Raspberry Vinaigrette
-Spinach Fettucine Alfredo
-Butternut Squash Ravioli with Sage Brown Butter
-Tiramisu for Dessert
